Privacy Policy

Quick Print for Outlook · Effective date: Draft — update before launch

What this policy covers

This policy describes how Quick Print for Outlook, an Outlook add-in published by CodePrint, handles information when you use it to print selected email messages.

Email content stays in the add-in runtime

When you print a batch, Quick Print reads the selected messages through the Outlook add-in APIs and prepares the print document inside the add-in runtime in your Outlook session. Email bodies are not uploaded to CodePrint servers, and the add-in keeps the current batch in memory only long enough to build the print job.

Licensing information

The commercial version of Quick Print verifies that your account has an active subscription. To do that, account identity information (such as the sign-in identifier associated with your subscription) and subscription status may be processed by the licensing service. This check does not involve the content of your email.

How information is not used

Message content is not sold. Message content is not used for advertising or ad targeting, and it is not used to build user profiles.

Terms of Use

Quick Print for Outlook · Effective date: Draft — update before launch

Status of this document

This is a pre-launch draft published for review. It is not a final agreement and must be reviewed by legal counsel before Quick Print is offered for sale.

The service

Quick Print for Outlook is an add-in that prepares selected Outlook email messages for printing through a single print dialog. It is designed for New Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web, and supports between 1 and 100 selected messages per batch.

Subscriptions

Quick Print is licensed per user on a subscription basis. Plans are billed monthly ($4.99 per user/month) or annually ($49.99 per user/year). The add-in is free to install, and continued use requires an active subscription for the user. A subscription remains active for the period paid for and renews on the same term unless cancelled.

Scope of the first version

The first version prints email messages only. Attachments are not printed, and embedded cid: images may be omitted from printed output. Outlook's own behavior — including conversation view grouping, Reading Pane requirements, and image-loading policy — affects what is available to print.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Quick Print only with email you are authorized to access and print, and not to attempt to circumvent licensing checks or resell access to the add-in.

Service availability

CodePrint intends to keep the add-in and licensing service reasonably available and to correct reported faults within a reasonable time. No specific uptime level is promised. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, changes in Outlook add-in platform behavior, or events outside CodePrint's control.

Changes

Features may change as the add-in develops. Material changes to these terms will be published on this page before they take effect.

Support

Setup and troubleshooting for Quick Print for Outlook. If something here doesn't resolve your issue, email jacob@codeprint.io with your Outlook client (New Outlook for Windows or Outlook on the web) and what you were trying to print.

Install Quick Print

  1. Open New Outlook for Windows or Outlook on the web.
  2. Open the add-ins list from the ribbon and search for Quick Print for Outlook.
  3. Add the add-in. Installation is free; printing requires an active subscription.
  4. Restart or reload Outlook if the Quick Print button does not appear.

Enable the Reading Pane

Outlook only exposes multi-select information to add-ins when the Reading Pane is on. In Outlook, open Settings › Mail › Layout › Reading pane and choose a position — right or bottom — instead of Hide. Then reload Outlook and reselect your messages.

Pin the task pane

Open Quick Print and click the pin icon in the top-right corner of the task pane. Pinning keeps the pane open while you change your selection, so the message count stays in sync as you check messages. Without pinning, changing selection can close the pane.

Conversation view

A single collapsed conversation row can contain several underlying messages, so the count Quick Print reports may be higher than the number of rows you clicked. If you want one row to mean one email, turn conversation view off in Settings › Mail › Layout › Message organization and choose the individual-messages option.

The 100-message limit

Each batch supports 1 to 100 selected messages, from the same folder. If you select more than 100, reduce the selection and print in two batches. Large batches take longer to prepare before the print dialog opens.

Troubleshooting

Quick Print reports 0 messages

Check that the Reading Pane is enabled, then reselect the messages with the pane pinned.

Images are missing from the print

Embedded cid: images may be omitted. Web images depend on Outlook and network policy allowing them.

One email failed in a batch

The rest of the batch continues when Outlook can reset safely. Reprint the skipped message on its own.

Attachments didn't print

Expected — the first version prints message bodies only.
